Terms of service

Using Scopewise

These terms cover accounts, paid plans, AI features, share links, and the limits of what the product promises. Last updated 22 September 2026.

At a glance

  • AI drafts are starting points—review everything before you send to clients.
  • Free and Pro limits are on Pricing; Stripe handles paid billing.
  • Client sign-off records intent—it is not DocuSign or contract execution.
  • You control what appears on share links and who receives them.

Drafts and sign-off, not legal advice

Scopewise helps you draft and deliver client proposals. Generated text, contract drafts, pricing suggestions, and AI rewrites are starting points only—they are not legal, tax, or business advice. A fast yes with an audit trail in email—not a replacement for counsel, DocuSign, or procurement-grade e-sign. Legal, procurement, or enterprise buyers who need DocuSign, clause negotiation, or payment capture—use your e-sign and billing stack for that. You remain responsible for reviewing every proposal before you send it, and for any agreement you make with your clients.

The service

We provide a proposal builder, optional AI generation and section rewrites, company research, PDF/DOCX export, a cloud library when you sign in, and on Pro: hosted share links, a client portal, comments, lightweight client sign-off, tracking, and related delivery features. Plan limits and features may change as we improve the product.

Accounts

You can try many features without signing in; local data stays in your browser until you clear it. To save proposals to the cloud library, subscribe to Pro, or use team features, you need an account (via Clerk). Keep your sign-in details secure. You may delete your account from account settings; that permanently removes your cloud library and related data and cancels an active Pro subscription immediately when applicable.

Acceptable use

Use the service to create and deliver your own client proposals. Do not abuse AI or share-link features, attempt to disrupt the service, scrape the product to build a competing offering, upload unlawful content, or use the app for activity that violates applicable law. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

AI features

The fields you submit are sent to the AI provider to produce or rewrite content. Output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your client. Do not submit secrets, credentials, or highly sensitive personal data into prompts or client briefs. You must verify AI output before sending anything to a client.

Share links and client sign-off

On Pro, share links store a snapshot of a proposal so your client can view it. You choose what to include; optional PINs are a simple gate, not enterprise security. Client sign-off records scope and intent with an email audit trail—it is not a legal signature, contract execution, or payment capture. You are responsible for client communications and for using e-sign or counsel when your deal requires it.

Plans and billing

The Free plan has no subscription charge and includes the limits shown on Pricing. Pro is a recurring Stripe subscription. Optional pay-as-you-go usage for extra AI generations or rewrites may be billed on your Stripe invoice when you enable it. Prices, currency, taxes, and invoices are handled by Stripe.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel Pro from the Stripe billing portal (Pricing or account billing). Access typically continues until the end of the current paid period unless you delete your account, which ends Pro immediately. Unused time is not automatically refunded. If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, mandatory cooling-off and other consumer rights still apply where the law requires them.

Our content and your data

The software, templates, and branding belong to Scopewise. You keep the proposals, briefs, and client content you create. We may use aggregated, non-identifying usage data to operate and improve the service. How we handle personal data is described on Privacy & data.

Third-party links

Share pages and exports may reference your clients' sites or tools you connect (for example webhooks). We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their terms or practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scopewise is provided “as is”. We are not liable for lost revenue, client disputes, rejected proposals, or other losses arising from reliance on AI output, share links, or sign-off records. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page is the latest version. Material changes will be posted here. UK and EEA consumers keep non-waivable statutory rights. Privacy details are on Privacy & data. This page is product copy, not a substitute for advice from your own lawyer.
